VW Skoda should improve to boost their sales

One of our YouTube subscriber recently shares his 2 cents on what VAG should do to boost their sales.

1.6 MPI & 6 Airbags

Provide 1.6 mpi (manual + AT) as an option in all the current 1.0 TSI variants
Start providing AT gearbox (6 speed TC) right from the 1.0 TSI base variants.
Give an option of 6 airbags right from the base variant alongside the 2 airbag variants, for 50k extra.

Feature rich variant

Offer a feature rich base variant having all basic convenience and day to day use features at an agressive price to rival the Hyryder and Grand Vitara
Launch a 1.5 TSI variant with central locking, all 4 power windows, electrically adjustable ORVMs, 4 speakers, reverse camera and a decent touchscreen under 14 lakhs (manual) and 15.5 lakhs (DCT) to rival the Mahindra XUV 300 Turbosport and Mahindra's XUV 700 and Scorpio-N with 200 bhp petrol engines.

Soft touch materials, UV cut glasses, one touch up down and anti pinch in all 4 windows and all other signature VW features like window roll up roll down, dual torn hone etc in 1.5 TSI variants WITHOUT INCREASING THE PRICES so as to justify the current overpriced tag of the 1.5 TSI variants. Addition of panaromic sunroof and 360 cam can be considered too, but with a reasonable price hike.
Thoroughly work on service centres, redressal systems, having super informed and enthusiastic salesmen, improving after sales experience, better marketing and try to connect the top management with customers.

Warranty

Provide 3 year free extended warranty and service coupons to all the customers whose cars were affected by serious issues in the 1st lot like EPC errors. This will help people to trust the VAG group and also make a positive image in the general public.

Diversification & Market Penetration

Diversify the portfolio keeping in mind the needs of the Indian market to provide cars for almost every customer.
Focus on gathering more and more customers and penetrating as much as possible into the market instead of making profits at least for the next 5 years.
Treat the Indian market as a priority and not as an option, and keep your cars in some limelight by launching special editions every 1.5 or 2 years etc.
