Volkswagen Passenger Cars India today announced, the Volkswagen Virtus, has achieved its highest-ever monthly sales record of 2 351 units in October 2024. This milestone further bolsters the sedan’s dominant position as India’s bestselling and most sought-after premium sedan of 2024. The Volkswagen Virtus recorded a growth of 32 % in sales for the month of October 2024 over last year’s sales in the corresponding period.
Volkswagen India also recorded a 9 % growth in sales in October 2024 over sales in October 2023, showcasing a positive outlook and acceptance for its robust, German engineered and fun-to-drive cars. India’s highest selling premium sedan, the Volkswagen Virtus has continued to drive customer delight while securing its significant lead as the most preferred premium sedan in India.

Since its market debut in 2022, the Volkswagen Virtus has rapidly climbed the ranks in the premium sedan segment, selling nearly 60 units every day across India and reaching a major sales milestone of 50 000 units in the domestic market. With over 17 000 units sold this year alone, the Virtus has reaffirmed its standing as India’s favourite sedan, leading the revival of premium sedans in a landscape largely dominated by other segments.
