I live in a city where there's no Volkswagen dealership nearby, the nearest is 200 kms. Even though I've owned the vento for 11 years now, highly satisfied with it. In a small town, not many people like the choice of a German sedan due to high maintenance cost, most of them choose Suzuki or Hyundai.

But defying all others I chose the Vento due to its timeless looks and amazing performance from the engine. The first time I drove the 1.6 TDI, I was blown away by the punch it has. The time when this gem of an engine produced 105 HP, there were other sedans like the city and verna which had mediocre engines at best. In addition to this, the ride and handling at all time is one of the highlights of the car. Be it in the city or highway, the amazing stability it has is nothing short of spectacular. Even after all these years, a quick foam wash makes the car shine like a newly bought one. This gives evidence of the paint quality and fit & Finish.

The service experience has been a mixed bag due to high service costs and high cost of spares. I had issues with my injectors at 80k kms, which was costing around 25k per injector. So had to replace 2 of them and then the car ran fine. After 1 Lac kms, the timing kit was also changed which cost 30k approximately. And the shock ups as well were replaced which cost 30k approx again.

Considering these costs, the Honda's and Hyundai's of the world are cheaper to maintain I guess but none of them offer the experience close to owning an Audi like this German sedan does. Highly satisfied with my car , and now looking forward to have a Slavia ora Virtus in my garage soon.
