I purchased this car in month of August 2021. I had an experience of VW cars previously so I went for it again. Before this I booked Taigun and waited for 2 months after which I have read few articles and came to conclusion that VW will compromise in quality aspect. So I thought not to take any chances in safety aspect and I changed my mind to Vento even though its repeating model.
When Taigun was available for display in showrooms I went and inspected it to know whether I took correct decision or not. I am happy I took correct decision (First impression on door handles is very bad, roof liner etc. many are there).
I enjoyed each and every moment when I was driving Vento A/T. Most of my journey is in city and its very much easy for me to handle as its A/T transmission. Completed 2 inspection services and experience was good as I am regular customer to that particular VW workshop.
Problem I faced
I have noticed few things for recent manufacturing models. Engine guard so called (Lock carrier kit) is missing for all models of Vento and polo and few insulation parts are missing on A-pillar. I don't understand is this part of cost cutting or VW thought that is no more necessary. Because when I approached SA regarding this he said ground clearance for new models has been increased and there is no need of it. But I am not satisfied with his answer and I ordered it at that point an got it installed it in 2nd inspection service. Apart from that everything seams to be fine. Even though its 10 years old DNA it looks fresh that's VW.
I did few tweaks and modifications to this car like activated all possible features using VCDS, changed tail light bulbs to LED's, Gear knob to LED, Jetta Roof light, installed rear footwell lights, Indirect TPMS. In future I am planning to have Paddle shifter steering wheel, Maxi dot cluster, Audio head unit change to VW OEM mib2 discovery media(This is not confirmed as present one good ) these costs a bomb so need to plan accordingly.
Best Mileage till now. City- 15-16 approx. (If driven carefully) else 11-12 bumper to bumper. On Highway - 22.6 (If maintained speeds of 80-85kmph)
