Honda has revealed the City e:HEV hybrid sedan for the Indian market. Bookings are now open and the official launch has been scheduled for next month.

The Honda City Hybrid will be offered in two variants - V and ZX. The hybrid version gets a few cosmetic revisions compared to the standard City. The car features a revised radiator grille and bumper, new 16-inch alloy wheels, a reworked rear bumper and a boot lip spoiler.

The City Hybrid gets a dual-tone interior with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment head-unit and a 7-inch colour TFT instrument cluster. The car comes equipped with features like a one-touch electric sunroof and walk-away auto lock.

Powering the City Hybrid is a 1.5-litre petrol engine paired with two electric motors, offering a combined output of 124 BHP and 253 Nm. The engine is mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and comes with three drive modes - EV, Hybrid and Petrol. Honda claims a fuel economy figure of 26.5 km/l.

The City e:HEV comes with a host of safety aids, including disc brakes on all four corners, electric parking brake with auto hold, Lane Keep Assist, Collision Mitigation Braking System, Road Departure Mitigation, Adaptive Cruise Control, Auto High Beam and 6 airbags.
