Safety

Loved it! But unstable body shell integrity pinched me! Got less damaged in minor accidents! Build quality- Average because of average grade plastic quality and insulation- Rattling after a week and still not resolved, NVH levels are good but still have a lot of scope as my relatives Ford Aspire is more noisy outside but less noisy inside including wind and tyre noise. It's to short to speak about paint quality.


Ride and Handling

Loved it! True enthusiast's dynamics! Ride quality at slow speed is sooooo good! at higher speed it is so stable and less body roll! My car jumped at a bad pot hole at 120 kmph and nothing got  damaged and after 10 to 15 minutes my car jumped over another pathetic patchwork at 80 kmph still nothing happened! The steering is good but not very good as Ford and I also faced pathetic anti roll bar sound issue while turning steering and solved this issue after 6 months! Wow what a service! I understood the problem at once that anti roll bar is making sound! The ground clearance is 170 mm but feels like much more!


Engine

It's ok in terms of performance but is very fuel efficient it gives between 16 to 17 in city and 20 to 21 on highways in regular driving. NVH could have been a lot better! As I told my relatives Ford Aspire diesel is less noisy than my Tata Tigor petrol and it has vibrations on seats and gear knob! But one thing is appreciable! Steering, clutch and other parts are so smooth! It also reliable!


Air Conditioner

Air Conditioner is ok.


Comfort and space

Space is good no problem their! I know it's not as spacious as my Nano but it's good! Comfort wise it's best at it's price range! Never feel anything after coming out of the car after a long drive the seats are like so good! Ingress and egress is also not a problem.


After sales

It's poor they took lot of time to resolve my anti roll bar issue after changing the service center and had a bad experience with my Nano too! Still depends place to place but 70% Tata service centers provide poor service! Staff behavior is good at my place.


Sales Experience

Good got my delivery at time no financing issues and delivery issues but still sales experience is not as good as Ford! My relatives faced a lot of issues with the same dealership and cancelled Tiago and bought S-Presso! But my experience was good.


Looks

It's so good! It looks so sexy! The crystal tail lamps! The long strip high mounted break lamps! The rear end looks like the Hyundai Verna and front is also so good and the alloys are beautiful!


Features

It's very well loaded no problem with it and the rear camera quality is ok and screen could have been brighter and it feels premium but as you touch the plastic they creek!


Resale value

Resale Value is little below average.


Final Conclusion

TATA Tigor XZ plus Pros

Good ride and handling and suspension quality, very comfortable and space is good, premium interiors, smooth steering, clutch etc., good safety for city because of unstable body shell integrity. Engine performance is not underpowered it's perfect for calm driver, Very good looking, decently feature loaded.

 

TATA Tigor XZ Plus Cons

If want perfect fit finish and plastic quality, if want very good less NVH, If unstable body shell integrity pinches you, want a diesel or an enthusiastic petrol engine, not good resale value, want very good after sales and lacks on gimmick features.


My Take

I purchased the car at 7.00 lakh on road which was even cheaper than the ex showroom price! The on road price 8.50 lakh which was overpriced but they give my the car at 1.5 lakh less so it felt mouth watering deal! I finally considered I20, Freestyle, Triber before purchasing Tigor- I20
rejected because of rear AC vent poking space for rear passenger, Rejected Freestyle because of less boot space, rejected Triber because sheet metal was flimsy and was not sure about the safety. Overall I am satisfied with my car but could be improved! I do not regret but always think about Aspire!
