Overall Ratings
Overall Ownership Experience
The overall ownership of the EV has been good. However, due to the HV battery failure, it has become highly unreliable. The constant risk of breakdowns makes it difficult to trust, even for city commutes. The second time my car encountered an HV error at 17%, which was concerning.
Aside from the battery being replaced twice, I haven't faced any major issues. Driving an EV is incredibly comfortable, especially in city traffic, and with solar at home, my car practically runs for free.
Service & Maintenance Experience
Being an EV, it should have lower maintenance costs, but Tata insists on a minor service every 6 months/7500 km and a major service every 12 months/15,000 km.
Tata needs to improve its after-sales service for both ICE and EV models. Many Tata EVs have been reported to break down with HV critical errors at lower SoCs, and Tata has now started denying battery warranties based on minor scratches on the underbody battery cover, which is completely unethical.
