Overall Ownership Experience
  • My first car – chosen based on a neighbor’s recommendation and proximity of the service center (within 2 km).
  • Finalized Tiago over Swift.
  • Car delivery happened in 3rd week of booking, but then COVID lockdown started — it stayed in the stockyard for 8 weeks in the open.
  • Despite a price hike during this period, the sales team billed at the original quoted price as a goodwill gesture.
  • Insurance quoted at the time of purchase was costly, but I managed to negotiate a bit.
  • From the second year onwards, I’ve been getting insurance directly via customer care.
  • It may not be the "best car," but it gave me driving confidence and helped me become a better driver.
Service & Maintenance Experience
  • Faced headlight fogging, which was replaced under warranty within 48 hours.
  • Involved in a minor accident with a demo vehicle on a test drive; ADAS on demo car stopped abruptly, and I hit it from behind.
  • Bonnet damage was taken care of by the service center; bonnet replaced and painted.
  • However, the entire repair took 15 days to complete.
Things You Like & Dislike
Likes:
  • Good looks
  • As a first car, it helped me understand pros and cons of ownership and taught me how to manage a car responsibly.
  • No issues in 4 years apart from regular service visits.
Areas of Improvement:
  • AMT lag in 1st and 2nd gears, especially noticeable in city driving.
  • Due to this, I often switch to manual mode in Bengaluru traffic.
  • Mileage is poor in bumper-to-bumper traffic — but that’s expected in such conditions.
