Review Comments
Overall Ownership Experience
  • My car doesn’t run much beyond the city. In the city too, it covers around 15–16 kms per day and that too in high traffic.
  • This is my first car.
  • Overall, I like this car very much.
  • It’s very comfortable for my needs — maybe a little less fuel efficient — but there’s peace of mind on safety.
  • It drives well, handles well, and fulfills all my requirements.
  • There are a few niggles though, but one gets used to them.
  • I would recommend this car to anyone looking for a hatchback.
Service & Maintenance Experience
  • My car is almost new.
  • In the first year, you have 3 services (1st month, 6th month, 1 year) — which feels kind of unnecessary.
  • From the second year, you have 1 minor service every half year and 1 major service once a year.
  • I am quite satisfied with the service advisors.
Things You Like & Dislike
Things I Like
  • The suspension is very good for a car with this ground clearance — you can glide through normal speed breakers or potholes at average speed.
  • Steering and clutch are very light, appropriate for city rides.
  • Horn placement on steering is convenient (unfortunately Tata has removed that in newer cars).
  • Engine is a bit noisy, but since it’s turbocharged, if in the proper band, it’s decently fast.
  • Turbo lag exists but is not that pronounced.
  • AC is nice — keeps the car chilled.
  • Sound system is good.
  • Overall cabin feel is great.
Things I Don’t Like
  • With the gear stick, reverse doesn’t always work properly. The official solution is to press the clutch for a few seconds before engaging reverse (wtf).
  • Sometimes first gear doesn’t engage — hardly happens, but it does sometimes.
  • Gear shifts require you to place the gear properly in the slot — just pushing casually may not work (gearbox is smooth but not Hyundai-level).
  • Brakes — you have to press a bit more to get a similar braking effect compared to other cars (like i10 and Venue). This might feel weird for drivers used to other cars.
