Review Comments
Hello everyone!

After 2 years and 56,000 kilometers, I am writing this review to share everything I have felt about my car.

First Drive Impressions
  • Yes, there is a bit of turbo lag, but it doesn’t hamper daily driving.
  • After 1,700 RPM, it feels like a rocket machine!
  • Coming from a DDiS 125, I initially felt the first gear wasn’t well-calibrated, but after 1,000-1,200 km, I got used to it.
  • Vibrations are slightly extra, but I like them. (Note: Being a diesel lover, I don’t like cars that are too silent!)
Suspension
  • Suspension is great even after 56,000 km.
  • It feels sporty and confidence-inspiring at high speeds.
  • Some noise comes from the suspension, but a simple fix is to use a lubricant spray after every car wash.
Handling
  • Handling experience depends on what car you previously drove.
  • Coming from a Swift, I initially found Altroz’s handling responsive and precise.
  • After driving the Taigun, I feel Altroz’s handling is good but not extraordinary.
Fuel Economy
  • It’s a diesel, so fuel efficiency is superb—nothing much to discuss here!
Electricals & Infotainment
  • Minor Tata software issues exist.
  • Infotainment feels premium and above its segment.
  • Trick for glitches: If anything isn’t responding, just ignore it for 5 minutes, and it usually resolves itself.
Issues I Faced
  • Steering alignment issue – Fixed by checking online forums and getting help from the Altroz owners’ group.
  • Light throw is not great – Could be improved.
  • Rattling noise – Noticeable at times.
DPF Issues?
  • Surprisingly, even after 56,000 km, I faced a DPF issue only once—within the first 1,000 km.
  • Never had a problem after that!
Steps to Prevent DPF Clogging
  • Drive in the correct gear.
  • If clogging starts, you’ll notice a harsher engine sound and increased fuel consumption.
  • If you notice these symptoms, drop a gear lower than your usual speed gear.
  • As a preventive measure, clean your EGR every 50,000 km.

That’s all I have to say!
Happy Driving!
