Slavia is now more expensive, starting from 10.99 after recent hike

Skoda has raised the costs of its midsize sedan, the 'Skoda Slavia,' in India. Depending on the variants, the Skoda Slavia may see a price increase of up to Rs 60,000.

The first increase was given to the Skoda Slavia, which was introduced in February 2022. The midrange sedan now costs Rs 10.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 18.39 lakh after the price increase. For the uninitiated, the Skoda Slavia used to cost Rs 10.69 lakh and could go up to Rs 17.79 lakh.

The car's price increase is different depending on the trim level. The Active/ Ambition 1.0 model receives a Rs 30,000 price increase, while the Style 1.0 TSI variant receives a Rs 40,000 price increase. The top trim-Style 1.5 TSI model, on the other hand, sees a Rs 60,000 price increase.

With the most recent price increase, the Skoda Slavia is now the second most expensive car in its segment. The Honda City Hybrid, which costs Rs 19.49 lakh, is the most priced vehicle in the segment. Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Hyundai Verna, and Honda City are all less expensive than the Slavia.

Engine & Features

The 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine in the Skoda Slavia 1.5 TSI version produces a maximum output of 148hp and torque of 250Nm. The 1.5-litre engine comes with a six-speed manual and a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission. The 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine is a smaller engine that produces 115 horsepower and 175 Nm of torque. A six-speed manual and a six-speed automatic transmission are offered for the 1.0-litre engine.


The safety features on the Skoda Slavia includes six airbags, ISOFIX, Hill Hold Control, ABS with EBD, XDS, rear view camera and TPMS.

Recent change in Infotainment Screen

The Slavia's infotainment screen has been updated by Skoda. The sedan used to come with a 10-inch infotainment screen, but now it comes with an 8.0-inch screen. The modification in equipment was caused by India's recent chip shortage.
