Review Comments
Overall Ownership Experience
  • The car looks beautiful inside and out.
  • Automatic transmission is buttery smooth.
  • The 1.0L engine has a noticeable lag till around 1700 RPM, affecting low-speed performance — which covers about 70% of my usage.
  • Post 1900 RPM, the engine delivers a beautiful hum and comes alive.
  • Handling is outstanding — the car remains planted at high speeds, offering great confidence.
  • Build quality is robust — I chose this car as the safest option within budget for my young son, buying it on his second birthday.
  • The red and black interiors make the cabin look sporty.
  • The digital instrument cluster is a personal favorite.
  • Suspension is slightly firm, which helps stability at higher speeds.
  • Highway rides are relaxed and comfortable.
  • I’ve named my car Belleza Roja — Spanish for “Red Beauty”.
Service & Maintenance Experience
  • Haven’t had a full service yet.
  • Two visits to Regent Skoda Thane so far:
  • For dashcam, ceramic coating, and front sensor installation
  • For a seatbelt safety campaign run by the manufacturer
  • Both experiences were smooth and positive.
Things You Like & Dislike
Likes:
  • Build quality — feels like you're in a premium segment car
  • Driving dynamics are excellent
  • Inspired by Sunderdeep Paaji’s videos, which influenced me to go for a VAG product — forever grateful
Dislikes:
  • At low speeds, the engine can feel breathless — making me sometimes wish I'd gone for the 1.5L
  • Fuel efficiency is low, despite using 95 octane fuel
  • Though opting for the 1.5L would have hit my wallet harder, which helps balance this decision
