Global NCAP has given the Mahindra Scorpio-N a 5-star safety rating. The SUV received 28.93 marks for child occupant protection and 29.25 points for adult occupant safety.
Front Impact
According to the test results, the Scorpio-N provided adequate head and neck protection for the driver and passenger. The front occupant's chest provided just limited protection, however the knees provided excellent protection. The tibias of the driver provided adequate protection, while the tibias of the passengers provided adequate and minimal protection.
Side Impact
In the side impact test, the car provided adequate protection for the head, chest, abdomen, and pelvis. In the side pole impact test, the SUV supplied adequate protection to the head, abdomen and pelvis, however, chest protection was evaluated as insufficient.

Child Protection
The 3-year-old dummy's child seat was able to prevent head exposure during the frontal impact test, providing full protection. The 18-month-kid old's seat was also capable of preventing head exposure.
Dual front airbags, a seat belt pretensioner and load limiter, a seat belt reminder, and ISOFIX are all standard features in the test vehicle.
