The car is really very value for money at 13 lakhs for htk which I bought. I am very much satisfied with the car, the diesel engine is very refined and smooth, it has minimal turbo lag. The suspension is a bit stiff at lower speeds, equally stable at higher speeds and the handling is really superb.
The braking is also very nice(it is equipped with all 4 disc brakes). The quality of plastics is very nice, the touchscreen response is also very good, the sound quality is fantastic, the reverse camera is also very clear. The AC is a chiller one and cools the cabin in minutes.
One thing I feel is that the ingress and egress of the car is a bit tricky for some days and you will get used to it, when it was new, I was hurt once by the sloping roofline in the front side. The seats are very comfortable for long journeys, the space and under-thigh support is also very nice. the visibility of the car is also very good, you can see the bonnet easily. IN features, you get speed dependent volume, the volume decreases at reversing the car and the reverse camera is equipped with dynamic guidelines.
Yes one complaint is the throw of front headlamps could be better and the NCAP ratings could be better, which disappoint me always(3stars).
Conclusion - Seltos is a great car, till 16-17 lakhs on-road, not more than that if you need a diesel SUV, you can consider it or else you can consider Taigun/Kushaq anyday. The car is vfm @13 lakhs on-road.
