Overall Ownership Experience

As first-time drivers, we chose to go with an automatic car. A couple of friends own Taigun with DSG gearbox, and they compelled us to choose this gearbox over any AT.

Hence, Venue DCT won the race against Nexon DCA. This variant of Venue cost us ₹13.0 Lakh, whereas Nexon was costing ₹14.5 Lakh. Hyundai's sales experience was 10/10.

Riding quality is great for daily city commute, with good power and easy steering through city traffic thanks to the good ride height.

The DCT gearbox is smooth and manages transmission very efficiently without being noticeable.

Cruises beautifully at 80–90 km/h on the highway in 7th gear.

Service & Maintenance Experience
  • Service experience has been great; the executives were very helpful with all the required details.
  • Maintenance, touch wood, has been hassle-free for now.
  • In Pune, we are now only using Shell petroleum, which really gave an added 50 km in range.
Things You Like & Dislike
Things to Like:
  • Definitely one of the easiest and good daily drive cars.
  • Good ride height and smooth steering gives good maneuvers through traffic.
  • Gear shifting has been very smooth; no jerks or pauses felt at all.
  • Lucky enough to have a great dealer for both sales and service experience.
  • In Sports mode, this car goes into beast mode. Generates tremendous power.
Things to Dislike:
  • Little bit noisy cabin; noise encapsulation could have been better.
  • City mileage takes a hit in traffic conditions, drops down around 10 kmpl.
  • Speakers are not as good as they could have been.
