Honda 4th-gen City, WR-V and Jazz discontinued

Honda has discontinued the fourth-generation City, WR-V, and Jazz in India. Honda now sells three models: the fifth-gen City, the City Hybrid, and the Amaze.

Honda City

The fifth-generation Honda City was available in July 2020. However, the fourth-generation model was still available until recently. The car was less expensive than its brand-new counterpart and thus represented good value for those looking for a reasonably priced mid-size sedan.

Honda Jazz

Since the Brio was discontinued, the Jazz was the only hatchback available. It competed against the Hyundai i20, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, and Tata Altroz.

The next-generation Jazz has already arrived in global markets, but Honda has decided not to launch it in India.

WR-V

The WR-V was essentially a more powerful Jazz. It was never going to make up for the absence of a proper mid-size SUV in the brand's lineup. This, however, is about to change.

Honda intends to launch a new mid-size SUV to compete with the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. It is expected to make its debut in June 2023.
