On September 26, 2022, Maruti Suzuki will release the new Grand Vitara in India. It will be available in along with Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. Booking for the SUV have already begun.
The Grand Vitara will be available in six trim levels, two of which are strong hybrids: Zeta+ and Alpha+. A 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, digital instrument cluster, head-up display, ventilated front seats, wireless charging, cruise control, 360-degree camera, and TPMS are among the features included in the SUV.
In terms of design, the front has a "NEXwave" grille with three-element LED DRLs, a raised bonnet, and an integrated turn-lamp. Furthermore, the intelligent electric hybrid version has a 'Fervent Dark Crome' grille finish, whereas the progressive smart hybrid version has a 'Rich Chrome' finish.
The hybrid powertrain is powered by a 1.5-liter, 3-cylinder Toyota petrol engine that produces 91 BHP at 5,500 rpm and 122 Nm at 4,400 rpm. This gasoline engine is paired with an AC synchronous motor that produces 79 BHP and 141 Nm. At the wheels, the total combined output is 114 BHP. This engine is equipped with a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
A more familiar 1.5-litre mild-hybrid powertrain is also available for the Grand Vitara. It produces 103 bhp and 137 Nm of torque and is available with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The mild-hybrid model also has all-wheel drive as an option.
