Global NCAP: Skoda Slavia and VW Virtus received 5-star safety ratings

Global NCAP has given the Skoda Slavia and Volkswagen Virtus 5-star safety ratings. Adult occupant safety received 29.71 points, while child occupant protection received 42 points.

Front Impact Test

The driver and passenger's head and neck received adequate protection in the front impact test. Both front occupants had adequate chest protection, and their knees were well-protected. The vehicles provided adequate protection for the driver's tibias and adequate protection for the passenger's tibias. The footwell and bodyshell appeared stable.

Side Impact Test

In the side impact test, protection for the head, chest, and abdomen was rated adequate, while pelvic protection was rated excellent.

In the side pole impact test, the curtain airbags provided adequate protection for the head, abdomen, and pelvis, but only marginal protection for the chest.

Child Safety

The 3-year-old's child seat was able to prevent head exposure during the frontal impact test, providing full protection. During the test, the child seat for the 18-month-old was also able to prevent head exposure.

Both child restraint systems (CRS) provided complete side impact protection.
