Global NCAP has given the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso, Swift, and Ignis a one-star safety rating.

Maruti Swift

The Swift received a score of 19.19 for adult occupant safety and 16.68 for child occupant protection.

Front Impact

The car provided adequate protection for the driver's and passenger's head and neck. The driver's chest provided inadequate protection, while the passenger's chest provided acceptable protection. The driver's and passenger's right knees had minimal protection because they could collide with harmful structures behind the fascia, whereas the passenger's left knee had strong protection. The tibias of the driver were adequately protected, whereas the tibias of the passengers were well protected.

Side Impact

In the side impact test, protection for the head, abdomen, and pelvis was evaluated as acceptable, but protection for the chest was rated as poor.

The side pole impact test was omitted since the vehicle lacks side head protection.

Child Protection

The car provided acceptable head protection and minimal chest protection to the 3-year-old child dummy, but inadequate protection to the 18-month-old dummy.

Maruti S-Presso

The S-Presso received a score of 20.03 for adult occupant protection and only 3.52 for child occupant safety.

Front Impact

The driver's knees were only marginally protected, whereas the passenger's knees were well protected. The protection provided to the driver's tibias was marginal and adequate, whilst the protection provided to the passenger's tibias was adequate.

Side Impact

In the side impact test, the S-Presso provided mediocre protection for the head and chest while providing outstanding protection for the abdomen and pelvis

The side pole impact test was not carried out since the vehicle lacked side head protection.

Child Protection

During the frontal impact test, the 3-year-child old's seat was unable to prevent forward head movement. The child seat for the 18-month-old, on the other hand, provided acceptable head protection but poor chest protection. Both systems provided full side impact protection for children.

The test vehicle has dual front airbags, a seat belt pretensioner and load limiter, and a seat belt reminder.

Maruti Ignis

The Ignis received a score of 16.48 for adult occupant protection and only 3.86 for child occupant safety.

Front Impact

The car provided adequate protection for the driver's and passenger's head and neck. The driver's chest provided inadequate protection, while the passenger's chest provided acceptable protection

The driver's and passenger's knees provided only moderate protection since they could collide with harmful structures behind the fascia. The tibias of the driver were adequately protected, whereas the tibias of the passengers were well protected.

Side Impact

In the side impact test, protection to the head was limited, while chest protection was classified as low. The abdominal protection was decent, and the pelvic protection was excellent.
