The 1.0-liter and 1.5-liter TSI engines are expected to be available for the Slavia Monte Carlo version.
In India, the Skoda Slavia has been available for purchase for around six months. The automaker is currently preparing to introduce the Monte Carlo edition.
The Slavia Monte Carlo would be launched after the Kushaq Monte Carlo and its first-anniversary edition, according to Petr Solc, Director of Sales & Marketing at Skoda Auto India.
"Skoda wants its top-selling models Slavia and Kushaq to be well-established in the Indian market. And the company feels that one way to ensure that would be by introducing special edition models," Solc added.
The Monte Carlo will be the Slavia range's highest-spec trim. Currently, the Slavia sells an average of 2,000 units every month. The introduction of the new variation is expected to boost sales of the car.
The 1.0- and 1.5-liter TSI engines will likely be available for the Slavia Monte Carlo version, along with both manual and automatic transmission options.
